Overtalking recently about the legendary parsimoniousness of Jon Peartree, I was reminded of the photograph shown here.
Since even humble internet pages like mine will be subject to the full weight of libel law, I will refrain from speculating on precisely how Mr Putrid came to possess such a naggingly familiar garden ornament.
I remain confident of one day finding an authenticating note reading "Cheers Jon, love Chris Barry" in the Peewee archives, hence nobody batting an eyelid when he complained in interviews that the polystyrene figure was not standing up well to the elements.
Now, if only he hadn't got caught lifting that compass by the officers of the RFA Robert Dundas on the Serial PPP location shoot...
