Despite the appearance that nothing much ever seems to happen around here, I do spend some considerable time thinking of possible new material. (More time than I actually spend writing any, cynics such as myself might say).
Perhaps I should lighten up a little, and stop being my own worst critic. The Internet is stuffed to bursting with tenuous and unoriginal rubbish, so I may as well knuckle down and join in. Nothing new under the sun, after all...
So why not start with bicycles?
There's something about a pushbike that seems to equate with indignity in our subconscious. Put a celebrity or a politician on a pushbike, and we automatically start thinking there's something a bit socially levelling and/or eccentric going on.
