Quite a Ponderous Chain

First day back at work after a woefully extended Bank Holiday period, and my desk is already straining under the weight of weighbridge tickets and invoices. Which is about as interesting as it sounds, quite frankly.

Somewhat more interesting is the continuing exploration of programs bundled with my new laptop. And after days of hardly daring to look, I can affirm my surprise and delight at having a screen capture facility at long last. Which is why you're looking at a rather dandy picture of an uncredited spectral Roy Bloody Evans from the 1970 film "Scrooge". (Probably the only musical I will grudgingly confess to even half-liking. Mawkishly sentimental in many places yet with an astonishingly good cast , it even heavily features David Collings with an amusing Lahndan-Tahhhn accent...).

Anyway, I'm not really sure where to go after that revelation.

I suppose after Disney's "The Black Hole" last year, I can from now dedicate future Festive seasons to viewing and genuinely enjoying at least one item that my readership would automatically assume I despise.

On second thoughts, perhaps not.

Life's too bloody short...
